Kaila Drayton serves as Vice President of Operations, actively working to co-create organizational and programmatic priorities and policies and determining the appropriate processes and resources to support those priorities and policies. Drayton bridges vision and strategy with implementation through collaboration, capacity building, and execution of critical institutional initiatives and projects.

For the past 10 years, Kaila has led the operational management of Conservation and Education Programs, prioritized the operational needs of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) led programs, advocated for equitable distribution of funding, staffing, opportunities, and compensation for BIPOC staff, and continued to assess National Wildlife Federation policies and processes to make sure they are equitable for all staff.

Drayton is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (Panama 09-12), National Geographic Explorer and expedition leader, and accomplished nature and wildlife photographer.
