As Chief Financial Officer of the National Wildlife Federation, Ismael Savadogo leads the Finance team in all aspects of the Business Planning and Analysis, Financial Systems, Accounting, and Treasury functions as well as general oversight of the financial and related business activities across the entire organization. Savadogo also serves as the Treasurer for the Board of Directors and is the primary staff liaison with the Finance, Audit and Risk, and Investment Committees of the Board.

Prior to joining NWF, Savadogo was the chief financial officer at Change.org, the world’s largest petition website for social change. He also served as CFO for the National Aquarium, the National Wildlife Federation’s Maryland affiliate. Other experience includes CFO for Color of Change and overseeing global finance operations for Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research, for nearly 12 years.

Savadogo is passionate about helping organizations achieve their strategic goals and is committed to principals of integrity, equity, accountability, and collaboration. Over the past 20 years, his experience in leading financial operations for nonprofits and for-profit organizations has reinforced his conviction that focus on mission and sustainability are equally important to achieve ambitious organizational goals.

When he is not at work, Savadogo enjoys spending time with his family and he serves on the board of the Mid-Atlantic Section of the U.S. Tennis Association, and Sum Of Us, a global non-profit advocacy organization and global community that campaigns to hold corporations accountable on issues such as human rights, animal rights, climate change, discrimination, and corruption.

Savadogo graduated from ISIAM, University of Quebec in Morocco and received his MBA from Dowling College’s Townsend School of Business.
