Jackson, WY Donor Event
Join us for a cocktail reception to help raise $100,000 towards a generous matching opportunity in support of the Tribal Bison Program. Deemed America’s national mammal in May 2016, the American bison is a large and thundering part of our national identity that has only recently been brought back from the brink of extinction, largely by the preservation of herds on tribal lands.

Bison Field Trip to Wind River Reservation
An incredible two day event for supporters of the Tribal Bison Program to experience the majesty of bison in their new home at the Wind River Reservation as well as to learn more about the vison of the program as we move forward. Bison are keystone species to the health of the American prairie ecosystem, as well as to the cultural, physical and economic health of Native American communities. NWF has been working with tribal and federal partners for over 20 years to return bison to the Wind River Reservation, which overs over 750,000 acres of prime bison habitat, over 550,000 more acres that what is currently available to bison in Yellowstone.

Colorado Public Lands Day
NWF is partnering with the Colorado Wildlife Federation and Volunteer for Outdoors Colorado in an effort to bring people together to clean-up well-love hiking trails in Colorado. We will be working to reconstruct the Dedisse Park Trail and Eastern San Luis Valley Trail. Stay tuned for more information to come!

Partners in the Outdoors Conference
The National Wildlife Federation will join the Colorado Wildlife Federation at the 2017 Partners in the Outdoors Conference, which brings together a diverse array of stakeholders working to balance outdoor recreation with sustainable wildlife management in Colorado, as the state’s population continues to grow. NWF and CWF representatives will participate in the two-day conference.

Save Our State Animal
NWF is implementing solutions to sustain and grow herds of wild bighorn sheep on protected Colorado Habitat. The official state animal of Colorado has dwindled to less than 8,000 and is under continuous threats. Join us to learn more about what you can do to help.

3rd Annual Colorado Women in Conservation Awards
In honor of Women's History Month in March, join the National Wildlife Federation’s Rocky Mountain Regional Center and friends in honoring two extraordinary sisters - Elise and Suzanne Jones, of Boulder, CO—who are both outstanding conservation leaders working to protect clean air, clean water, wildlife and wildlands across Colorado.
Women are leaders in the conservation field and climate action movement through their powerful roles as business owners, scientists, educators, NGO leaders, writers and activists. Recognizing women's achievements and celebrating their leadership is not only deserved, but necessary to reach the goal of protecting our communities, landscapes and wildlife from the impacts of climate change.

Rocky Mountain Early Childhood Conference
The National Wildlife Federation's Rocky Mountain Regional Center and partners will be presenting our new initiative to connect young children to the outdoors at the 2017 Rocky Mountain Early Childhood Conference. The initiative, called Early Childhood Health Outdoors (ECHO), will work to provide daily access to natural spaces for all Colorado's young children, thereby helping the early childhood education community reach child developmental goals while making high-quality outdoor time a regular part of Colorado children's lives.
