Communities

While ECHO got its start in Colorado, we are now creating a national movement to provide equitable, daily access to healthy natural outdoor spaces for all young children in the U.S.

We bring a research-based model of community engagement, landscape design best practices, training and professional development, and advocacy that is tailored to each community, municipality, state, or region. Currently, we are partnering with local leaders to enhance nature-based play and learning in New Mexico, Detroit, Nebraska, and Arizona, and are working to compliment current efforts in Texas and South Carolina. Where We Work

More than one-third of U.S. fish and wildlife species are at risk of extinction in the coming decades. The National Wildlife Federation is on the ground in seven regions across the country, collaborating with 53 state and territory affiliates to reverse the crisis and ensure wildlife thrive.
